How do I know if pigeons are under my panels?
Common signs are scratching or cooing on the roof early in the morning, droppings on paths or cars below the roof edge, and twigs or feathers poking out from under the panels. If you see birds flying in and out of the gap, they are almost certainly nesting.
Will the mesh affect my solar or roof warranty?
Our clips attach to the panel frame without drilling into the panels or the roof. Every system is different, so check with your installer and ask them to confirm in writing. We can send them photos of how the mesh is fixed.
Is it safe to remove the nests myself?
We would not recommend it. Dried droppings can carry disease, and SolarQuotes has reported a solar worker who became ill after contact with them. Working on a two-storey roof is also a serious fall risk. We wear masks and use safe roof access for this work.
