Solar Panel Cleaning in the Hills District

Solar sits on Hills District roofs of every age, from new estates to older homes that added panels later. On tree-lined streets the problem is usually leaf litter and bark caught around the panels; elsewhere it is bird droppings and grime that rain does not shift. We clean with pure water and soft brushes, and we will tell you straight if your panels do not need us yet.

What’s different about solar panel cleaning in Hills District

When a clean is actually worth it

Independent testing reported by SolarQuotes found that ordinary dust costs tilted panels only a small amount of output. Bird droppings, lichen and leaf litter are different: they block light in patches and do not rinse away in the rain. Those are the jobs we are glad to take on. A light film of dust on a steep roof usually is not.

Leaf litter trapped around the frames

Under tall gums, leaves and bark slide down the panels and pile up along the bottom edge and in the gap underneath. Kept damp, that pile can start growing lichen on the glass and frame. We clear what we can reach safely and photograph anything we cannot, so you know what is there.

Following the panel maker's rules

Panel makers are specific about cleaning. JinkoSolar's manual calls for neutral water, no chemicals, nothing abrasive and low water pressure, and other makers ban high-pressure cleaners or exclude damage from poor cleaning. That is why we use pure water and soft brushes only.

Solar Panel Cleaning + Gutter Cleaning

On leafy Hills streets the same trees that litter your panels also fill your gutters, so clearing both in one roof visit makes sense.

Questions

Solar Panel Cleaning in Hills District: questions

Something else? Call 0468 070 392 or ask in the quote form.

How often do solar panels need cleaning in the Hills District?

JinkoSolar suggests about once a year, and more often in dusty conditions. Panels under big gums or where birds perch may need it sooner, while panels on an open, steep roof may need it less. After the first clean we can tell you what we would suggest for your roof.

Will you use a pressure washer or cleaning chemicals on my panels?

No. Several panel makers ban high-pressure cleaners, and chemicals can affect some warranties. We use purified water and soft brushes, which clean the glass without leaving spots.

How do I know the panels were cleaned properly?

Every job comes with a photo and video report. It shows your panels before and after, plus anything we noticed on the roof, such as cracked glass, loose fittings or signs that birds are moving in.
